The Challenge

Simplifying Complex Data and Reducing Task Overload

Flight dispatchers face the dual challenge of managing vast amounts of complex data while dealing with repetitive and time-consuming tasks. This combination can overwhelm decision-making and hinder operational efficiency. The challenge is to design a system that simplifies information access and interpretation while alleviating the burden of tedious tasks.

Integration with Legacy and smooth transition

IFS is still highly integrated with Legacy with some functionalities still running in the old system. User-friendly integration between Legacy and the new system is crucial for smooth operation by dispatchers. Another big challenge is to carefully plan and divide design and development phases into scopes that bring value for the end-users.

The Solution

Intuitive, User-Centric Design

As a Senior UX Designer, I focus on creating a user-friendly interface for IFS that meets dispatchers' specific needs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I develop clear user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. By ensuring consistent UI patterns across the platform, I enhance usability and facilitate communication among teams. After development, I conduct thorough design validations to confirm that the final product meets user expectations. This ensures that IFS is not only powerful but also straightforward to use, ultimately improving efficiency in flight operations.
